Hair removal methods such
as tweezing, waxing, and shaving are something of the past. These
methods successfully remove hair by cutting it off at the surface, or
plucking it from the root, but the results are only temporary. New laser
technology is an affordable and effective way to remove unwanted hair
from the face, arms, legs, and back - permanently!
Length:
Hair grows
in stages, and since the laser pulses disable follicles only in their
growth stage, complete hair removal requires several treatment sessions.
Most cases require three to six laser hair removal treatment sessions.
Results:
Laser
hair removal is a treatment method to remove unwanted hair. Laser
technology sends very short pulses of light through the skin into the
hair follicle. The light is absorbed by the pigment in and around the
hair follicle, disabling future hair growth. This leaves skin hair-free,
smooth, and silky.
Procedure:
Patients are pleased to find the treatment process
mild and gentle. To minimize any discomfort, our trained professionals
apply a numbing cream before they begin the procedure. Then, they scan
the treatment area with the laser wand, which distributes about one
pulse per second. The wand disperses a cooling spray with each pulse.
And the laser covers larger surface areas, such as the back, arms, and
legs, by casting a wide beam.
Anesthesia:
Topical
Recovery:
After treatment, you can return to all of your normal activities. Any
remaining hair may have turned white during the procedure, but it will
slough off within a few days. Also, it's normal for skin to appear pink
or mildly itch; we can recommend a cream or gel to soothe the itching.
The irritation should subside quickly.
Side Effects:
Possible but rare side effects include laser scars,
tattoo darkening reddening
after treatment, crusting, wound infection, darkening of the skin, hypo
pigmentation
