BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic, perhaps the most well known injectable treatment, is used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines that form between the brows. These deep furrows can make it appear as though you are tired, angry, or sad even when you are not. BOTOX® Cosmetic injections contain a specially formulated neuromuscular toxin that is used to temporarily paralyze underlying facial muscles. As the muscles of the brow relax, the deep lines and wrinkles on the forehead begin to recede. Results can last up to six months. BOTOX® Cosmetic is FDA-approved and can safely be performed at six-month intervals. Restylane®
Restylane® is a cosmetic injectable gel that is used to soften skin, restore volume, and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Restylane® gel is composed of water and hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body and helps keep skin hydrated and supple. Restylane® injectable gel replenishes the supply of hyaluronic acid for healthy, more youthful-looking skin.
Restylane® can treat the crow's feet, frown lines, and other facial lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to shape the chin, cheeks, and lips. Results of Restylane® injections are noticeable immediately following treatment. Radiesse®
Radiesse® injectable gel contains small particles that are composed of calcium and phosphate ions. These substances, found naturally in the body, are injected to plump up skin and fill out wrinkles around the nose and mouth. After three months, the microsphere particles begin to stimulate the production of collagen, the protein that gives skin its shape and structure. The results achieved with Radiesse® can last for up to two years after treatment.
JUVÉDERM™
JUVÉDERM™ is a cosmetic filler that effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Similar to Restylane®, JUVÉDERM™ is composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the body that helps keep skin moisturized. However, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the body decreases with age. JUVÉDERM™ helps restore soft, smooth, plump, youthful-looking skin by increasing the supply of this vital compound. JUVÉDERM™ results are long-lasting, and the filler can be used to treat any skin type.
Latisse™
Face and Body is the only practice in Tulsa to offer Latisse™, a new FDA-approved prescription product developed by Allergan (the maker of BOTOX® Cosmetic). Latisse™ grows the eyelashes, making them longer, fuller, and darker. Prescribed by our Tulsa cosmetic surgeon, Latisse™ is a topical ointment which should be applied regularly to ensure the best possible results.
