What is VASER® Liposuction?
VASER® has developed ultrasonic technology to aid in removing unwanted fat deposits and tightening the skin. During liposuction using VASER® technology, the physician uses a patented probe containing a laser fiber to deliver ultrasonic energy to the targeted area. The high frequency sound waves break apart and emulsify the fat cells upon contact. Once the fat is liquefied, it is easily removed from the body with gentle aspiration.
Vaser LipoSelection®
During LipoSelection® treatment, our Tulsa-based physician injects a liquid saline solution into the area to be treated; this liquid numbs the area, shrinks the blood vessels (minimizing any post-surgical bruising or swelling), and makes it easier to break up fatty tissue. Then, the desired areas are treated with a special probe emitting ultrasonic energy, which melts the fat cells. The ultrasonic energy is similar to that used in cataract removal. The physician will gently suction the liquefied fat from the body using a hollow cannula.
